Dear Dame Janet, I’m totally in favour of restitution of cultural artefacts including the Parthenon Marbles. I was privileged to visit the Acropolis in 2000 when it was being restored. Why is there no public petition for the restitution? The UK is a multicultural society. No person with an ounce of education could support holding the ‘Elgin’ Marbles hostage in the 21st century. Greece is entitled to them.
